If you are just blogging, I believe there are many things you need to learn. All this will required time. That’s why to be success in blogging will take time. Unless you buy a course or ebook that gives you the short cut and know how on any subject that you don’t know.
Beside blogging and let the search engine like google to find your blog and give traffics to you, long time bloggers are now turning on to alternative social sites to further promote their blog and businesses.
One of the most popular social site I wish to mention here is TWITTER.
For the newcomers to twitter, there is nothing much that twitter can help. You know why? Because you haven’t learn the indept power of twitter. In fact Twitter is addictive once you delve fully into it. Beside that twitter is here to stay. If you are not using it then you are booking yourself to failure in blogging if you are to make money.
I am not writing this post to tell you how to use twitter but I want to tell you about one of the most important tool to use in twitter. That tool is URL Shortener. There are many url shortener but one that I want to bring to spotlight here is Bit.ly url shortener.
Bit.ly is a URL shortener, a web service which shrinks long URLs. Unlike early URL shorteners, bit.ly offers statistical tools to track the popularity of the shortened links. This tool is a must have for you if you want to twit any message to your followers with your Blog’s Url or any Url’s you wish to share with your followers or the Twitter Community.
Just recently, that is in may of 2009, Twitter replaced TinyUrl with Bit.ly as its default link shortening tool. This is what makes Bit.ly became more popular today. In order to use this tool you need to register with Bit.ly and from there you will have the statisticle tools to track the popularity of your shortened links.
To me this statistical tools are very helpful for me to find out about the popularity of my links. You as a newcomer (presume) should learn all these and many other elements of the cyber world. Make your way and if you are in a hurry, buy course or join as a member to go the short cut. Happy blogging!

I use bit.ly on a daily basis. I keep it open in the background along with Twitter so that anytime I see a particularly good blog post I think is worth tweeting then it is easy to add it to Twitter.
I like bit.ly because you can see how many people have clicked on the link from Twitter.
You are right, the same with me. Thanks for the comment.
